Running Costumes

Running costumes are great for Halloween, a Disney race, or just for fun.

Running Costumes

I have looked all over trying to find a fun cool costume to wear for a Halloween race, but I have to say it is not easy to find something. I thought some of you may be trying to find fun running costumes too so I thought I would make a list of all the ones I found with some DIY ideas to do it yourself.

Team Sparkle has a few running costume ideas on there site. Here is just one example of a Snow White costume on the left. They have many different ideas including a pirate and all the Disney princess.

DIY: There ideas are pretty easy to replicate, simply get a running skirt and top that matches a charter you want. Like for Cinderella a light blue skirt and light blue top then blue gloves and a blue head band.

Wonder Woman is another popular idea for a running costume. You can buy this one online or make your own.

DIY: To make your own get a navy blue running skirt or shorts and then tack on some stars (use felt to cut out starts and needle and thread to tack to bottoms). Then get a red tank, yellow headband wrist bands. A pair of red knee high socks would be great too.

Bat Girl would make a great running costume because it be so easy to run in (and it would hide your running bra!).

DIY: Making this would be pretty easy, just get a black running skirt, black tank, black knee high socks. You can buy a mask in any party/Halloween store then make a bat and belt out of yellow fabric and tack it to the costume using a needle and thread.

Laura Croft is a fun different idea for a running costume. It is also a costume that would totally hide that running bra, so if you are larger busted this might be a good one for you.

DIY: For this all you need is a black tank and black shorts. Then you can get this Holster and Guns set and they even have a Laura Croft Wig you can get.

A Bumble Bee would be a cute costume to do a race in. It is not confining so would give you the freedom to PR.

DIY: Get a yellow or black skirt and tank. Now get yellow or black duct tape. Tape stripes on the skirt and tank. Then you can get a bumble bee Headband. Black or yellow knee high socks would finish off this look.

Pirate with Parrot and Ship
I dressed as a pirate and my 9 month old son was a parrot. We ran in a family 5K so I turned our BOB into a pirate ship. We "set sail" for 3.1 miles. All …
