Can you jog with a newborn?

When can you run with a newborn and with what kind of jogging stroller? My daughter is 2 months old and we have the chariot with the infant sling-- it says you can't run with them until they are 6 months old. Can I run with her sooner if I get a BOB or Baby Jogger with a car seat adapter?

Jogging is good for your health. But with such small child which is too young is a really important question. It depends on how much the child can keep it stable. Try writing your essays, it has these toddlers and newborns as a separate topic of discussion. In which people share their experiences and ask questions about that surf which are solved through detail discussions.

My son is going on 10 weeks and is almost 16 pounds. He's got great head control for his age. Our pediatrician cleared him to use the jogging stroller, only on smooth pavement at a slow jog or walk, at his appointment last week. He said that he needed to be able to stay upright and not slouch over to the side. Also he said to use additional head support if we felt it was necessary based on his head movement while jogging.
I would definitely base it on your child's ability to control his head movement and to fit in the stroller well and stay upright.

How old is your baby?

I started running with my son in the BOB when he was about 2-3 months old. By then he could support his own head, and I just put his blanket around him for extra support. I know other running moms who bought the BOB car seat adapter and with that you should be able to run with your baby even earlier.
