Speed work while pregnant

I run between 25-20 miles a week now that I am pregnant (16 weeks) and my longest run has been between 8-9 miles. I am still doing speed work every other week but have also cut down on the distance to only 400 repeats at a 6:30-6:35 pace (1:37-1:39 per 400). Is this okay? I ran until 7 months with my first pregnancy but wasn't running as hard as I am now. Does anyone have any experience with this. Of note, I am able to speak to my training partner in one-two words frags during the intervals as we check our pace progress and am never gasping for air during the intervals or after. Thanks!

Running is a safe activity that many pregnant women can continue as long. If you are already a runner, you will likely want to continue running during pregnancy.

You said right that speed work while pregnant is very harmful for baby and mother. So, at this situation a lot of care needed which is guarantee of health baby and normal case while delivering. I hope this one good for the Pregnant women. On the other hand, I want to find paper writing services because i'm a teacher and don't have time due to some reasons.

sprint workouts while pregnant NEW
by: Anonymous

I'm at 30.5 weeks and did the following track workout tonight. Half mile warm up, 8 x 300m repeats with a 100m walk in between each 300m. Ran 6 at 73 seconds and 2 at 71 seconds, each rest (100m walk) ended up being about 1:30. Then a two lap cool down.

I've completed a track workout each week of pregnancy as well as hill repeats. My long runs are short at 3 to 5 miles (my primary sport is women's club ultimate Frisbee which requires soccer style movements.
