I knew I was in love when...

by Terry Mason
(Minnesota)

There are so many times the realization of my love has hit me. I will try to pick a few.

I knew I loved running when I drove by a jogger and immediately wanted to jump out of the van and join her.

I learned to love speed workouts when I had to run extra fast to catch up with a runner ahead of me b/c she looked like someone I could get along with.

And I fell head over heels the day I discovered running's magical powers. On a particularly rough day with my 4 "angels," I took off for a run the minute my husband walked in the door. One mile in, my headache was gone, my shoulders were relaxed, and to my surprise a BIG smile was on my face.

Running gives back what you put in, it is MY accomplishment and it is MY time. I know I am using it wisely, setting a good example, and kicking some a** along the way!

In love NEW
by: http://www.essaykings.me/

I was running only in the period I was in live with my boyfriend. Now I gave it up. You know it's so hard to make myself run, when I think that he won't control me. I've no self respect...

Running to Catch Up
by: Anna

Oh and that part is really making me laugh. You know how often I get my speed training in by running up to the next runner pushing a jogging stroller to ask them how they like it or where they got that toy that sings Christmas Carols and keeps their baby entertained while they run!

It Gives Back What You Put In
by: Anna

Terry, I love this! I especially love that line. That is so true...unlike so many other relationships in life, running is almost always fair LOL.
