Half marathon at 16 weeks!

I've been running for years and have run several half marathons. I decided to challenge myself to the annual spring half in my hometown.

I've run the race before and knew that it was very hilly but fun. I ended up running the entire route but just at a much slower pace.

It felt great to accomplish such a feat at 16 weeks pregnant with my first child.

Though I don't have plans for another half during this pregnancy, I plan to run for as long as I can comfortably.

Cheers to all you other pregnant runners!

Just completed half marathon too
by: Laura McS

Hi - great to hear about others running during pregnancy. I have had a healthy pregnancy so far and plan to keep running as long as I can. I completed a half marathon at the weekend. It was a great sense of acheivement..going to stick to 5k and 10k's from now on...but hope to keep it going. My healthcare provider isn't a big fan of my running, which has really made me want to change doctors. I've read so many different bits of information - I'm going with the fact that I've been a runner for the last 12 years and just because I am pregnant i shouldn't stop doing the things I love to do...just everything slows down a bit :)
